Types of Diabetes
Two different types of diabetes were recognized in 1959.
Type 1 or insulin dependent diabetes (Juvenile)
Type 2 or non-insulin dependent diabetes (Adult)
This classification was abandoned in 2003 as many Type 2 diabetics are “wrongly” given insulin to manage their disease which will increase mortality 22%.
Causes of Diabetes
Although there is a strong genetic component to Type 1 diabetes, it is unknown what triggers the autoimmune disease that wipes out the islet cells of the pancreas. Type 1 diabetics need insulin.
Type 2 diabetics constitutes 95% of diabetics. Most of these diabetics are fat and have “insulin resistance” due to hyperglycemia from a high carb low fat diet. (The Standard American Diet (SAD).
When blood sugar rises, insulin is released from the pancreas, repeated over and over again, the cells of the body fail to respond to insulin – they become “insulin resistant.” This leads to further rises in blood sugar and insulin and inflammation of your 50,000 miles of blood vessels throughout your body and the growth of visceral deep abdominal fat.
Therapy for type 1 and type 2 diabetes has up to this time been the same which makes no sense if one looks at the root-cause of diabetes in these two completely different diseases.
It is important to recognize that it is hyperinsulinemia (too much insulin) not hyperglycemia that is the real cause of heart attacks, cancer and Alzheimer’s.

Complications of Diabetes
- Cardiovascular Disease – 100% of people having a heart attack have “insulin resistance”
- Stroke – 4 times more likely to have a stroke
- Diabetic Retinopathy – the leading cause of blindness in adults
- Diabetic Nephropathy – the leading cause of kidney failure in adults
- Diabetic Foot – which may lead to loss of limb
- Diabetic Neuropathy – a leading cause of non-traumatic amputations of the lower extremities in adults.
At Euromed we have two ways to cure type 2 diabetes.
A Well Formulate Keto Diet (WFKD) with Intermittent Fasting (IF) will cure most diabetics within one month. This data has been published. We are so confident about this we give a money back guarantee if we do not deliver results.
Recent studies have shown that Bariatric surgery especially in the very obese can cure diabetes. In a recent research study surgery showed the following results: –
- Diabetes was completely improved/resolved in 86% of patients.
- High blood pressure was improved/ resolved in 78% of patients.
- High blood lipids improved in more than 70% patients.
How does Bariatric Surgery work?
How Bariatric surgery induces remission in type 2 milletus? One suggestion is that by pushing the food directly to the lower intestine, it stimulates a substance called glucagon-like peptide 1 thereby decreasing the insulin production. Another school of thought is that the hormones that prompt hunger such as peptide Y (PPY) may be dulled by rearranging the anatomy of the gut, so if they crave less sugar, people may be able to manage their blood sugar levels better.
Who can take Bariatric Surgery?
There are set criteria for those who decide on surgery. As per the guidelines, any person with a body mass index more than 40, regardless of any comorbidities, can have it. Moreover, the patients with 30-40 body mass index with comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia are also indications for Bariatric surgery.
